Day 1 - Airport / Pinnawala / Sigiriya

On Arrival at the Airport, you will be greeted by Travel Shouters representative and will transfer to Sigiriya.

On the way visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. The Orphanage cares for and protects the many orphaned unweaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. Take part in feeding baby elephants which is a unique experience that's exclusive to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.

Day 2 - Sigiriya / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya

After breakfast, climb Sigiriya, the Lion Rock. This ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archeological importance. According to an ancient Sri Lankan chronicle, the site was selected by King Kasyapa as his new capital. He built a palace on top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. Its appearance marvel's the visitors due to its unique harmony between nature and human imagination.

Thereafter visit the ancient city Polonnaruwa. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic cities in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers.

Day 3 - Sigiriya / Dambulla / Matale / Kandy

After breakfast, proceed to Dambulla Cave Temple which is one the caves to be in the highest state of preservation and order. The cave complex is covered with decorative paintings and Buddha Statues and various Personages of Buddhist History. Thereafter, visit Aluvihare Temple in Matale which is situated 30 km North of Kandy. This temple has an interesting history which is traced back to the 3rd century B.C. Many monastery caves, some of which display forescoes are also found near this Aluvihare Temple.

Matale is a city that holds the upper hand in cultivation of spices in Sri Lanka. Visit a Herbal Garden and discover the diverse range of spices in Sri Lanka over a bracing cup of Herbal Tea.

Day 4 - Kandy / Peradeniya / Kandy

After breakfast, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. It the largest Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka. It was formally established in 1843. Now the Garden consists of more than 4000 species of plants including vivid flora, medicinal plants and exotic trees. This is a great place to have a leisure walk and connect with nature.

Kandy plays a huge role as the center of culture in Sri Lanka. It is a must see to visit a Sacred Temple of Tooth Relic which houses the relic of the Tooth of Buddha. On the way visit a Sri Lankan traditional Batik Factory where you will be shown the stunning craftsmanship and meticulous work that goes into designing of Batik based items. Gemological Museums are a great place to learn about the the stunning variety of precious stones found in Sri Lanka. On-route, observe a fascinating collection of precious stones to have a quick glimpse into the process of Gem Mining in Sri Lanka. In the evening enjoy an entertaining Sri Lankan Cultural Dance.

Day 5 - Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

After a hearty breakfast, head on to the city in the Hills, Nuwara Eliya. Hill country flourishes with acres and acres of tea plantations. Stop by a Tea Factory and a beautiful Tea field. Here you can take a walk by a vegetable field too! You will also be able to see some breathtaking view points and waterfalls on this trip. Visit the famous Art and Crafts center and get valuable insights into the fine handmade wood-based art and crafts which are beautifully decorated with natural ink.

Day 6 - Nuwara Eliya / Ella

After breakfast, head to Ella. You can take the famous train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. This train ride is said to be the best ride in Sri Lanka filled with extraordinary views all the way. As the tickets for this train ride is in high demand, it is recommended that you let us know in advance if interested in taking this ride. At the end of train ride, the guides will pick you up from Ella Station. You can enjoy breathtaking views all the way, by road and train. If you’re travelling by road, you can visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden on the way.

Day 7 - Ella / Selected Beach Resort

After breakfast, visit Mihintale, which is a historically important mountain peak situated near Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka. It is believed to be the site of meeting between Buddhist monk Mahinda and King Devanampiyatissa which marked the beginning of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. And thereafter proceed to Anuradhapura. It is another ancient city situated in the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. Immerse yourself on the wonders this city has to offer, magnificent stupas, man made reservoirs, preserved ruins and marvels of the ancient civil engineering.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains / Nuwara Eliya

Early morning, begin the journey to visit Horton Plains. It is a National Park situated in the Highlands of Sri Lanka. Horton Plains is rich in biodiversity whereas some species are endemic to the region. The very famous World’s End and Baker’s Falls are located in this Park and are ranked as the top attractions of the Park.

Day 8 - Nuwara Eliya / Ella

After breakfast, head to Ella. You can take the famous train ride from Nuwara Eliya to Ella. This train ride is said to be the best ride in Sri Lanka filled with extraordinary views all the way. As the tickets for this train ride is in high demand, it is recommended that you let us know in advance if interested in taking this ride. At the end of train ride, the guides will pick you up from Ella Station. You can enjoy breathtaking views all the way, by road and train. If you’re travelling by road, you can visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden on the way.

Day 9 - Ella / Udawalawe

Day 10 - Udawalawe / Mirissa

After breakfast, go for a safari at Udawalawe National Park. Udawalawe is an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants, which are relatively hard to see in its open habitats. Many elephants are attracted to the park because of the Udawalawe reservoir, with a herd of about 250 believed to be permanently resident. Thereafter, transfer to Mirissa. It is a beautiful beach, with a relaxed and laid back atmosphere. Along the beach are plenty of small restaurants and cafes, serving delicious and fresh seafood. After dark, the restaurants put out tables on the beach, light lanterns and candles, and serve seafood barbecues.

Day 11 - Mirissa

On the second day in Mirissa, head out to watch whales and dolphins. Mirissa is one of the best places in Sri Lanka to spot Whales and Dolphins such as Bottlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, sperm whales, short finned whales, fin whales.

Day 12 - Mirissa / Galle / Airport

After a hearty breakfast, head to Galle Fort in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Later proceed to Airport.
