Day 1 - Airport / Negombo

On Arrival at the Airport, you will be greeted by Travel Shouters representative and will transfer to Negombo.

Negombo is the fourth largest city in the country after the capital Colombo, Kandy, and Jaffna, and it is the second largest city in Western province after Colombo.
It is one of the major commercial hubs in Sri Lanka of about 128,000 inhabitants in the city limits, approximately 37 km north of Colombo city.

Dinner and spend your night in Heritance Negombo.

Day 2 - Negombo / Pinnawala / Kandalama

After a hearty breakfast head on to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. The Orphanage cares for and protects the many orphaned unweaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. Take part in feeding baby elephants which is a unique experience that's exclusive to Pinnawala Elephant orphanage.

Day 3 - Kandalama / Polonnaruwa / Sigiriya

After breakfast, visit the ancient city Polonnaruwa. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned archaeological relic cities in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers.
Thereafter climb Sigiriya, the Lion Rock. This ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archeological importance. According to an ancient Sri Lankan chronicle, the site was selected by King Kasyapa as his new capital. He built a palace on top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes. Its appearance marvel's the visitors due to its unique harmony between nature and human imagination.

Day 4 - Sigiriya / Dambulla / Matale / Kandy

Then Proceed to Dambulla Cave Temple which is one the caves to be in the highest state of preservation and order. The cave complex is covered with decorative paintings and Buddha Statues and various Personages of Buddhist History.
Thereafter, visit Aluvihare Temple in Matale which is situated 30 km North of Kandy. This temple has an interesting history which is traced back to the 3rd century B.C. Many monastery caves, some of which display forescoes are also found near this Aluvihare Temple.

Matale is a city that holds the upper hand in cultivation of spices in Sri Lanka. Visit a Herbal Garden and discover the diverse range of spices in Sri Lanka over a bracing cup of Herbal Tea.

Day 5 - Kandy / Peradeniya / Kandy

After breakfast, visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden. It the largest Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka. It was formally established in 1843. Now the Garden consists of more than 4000 species of plants including vivid flora, medicinal plants and exotic trees. This is a great place to have a leisure walk and connect with nature.

Kandy plays a huge role as the center of culture in Sri Lanka. It is the home of The Sacred Temple of the Tooth which is one of the famous places of worship in the Buddhist world. Temple of Tooth Relic houses the relic of the Tooth of Buddha. On the way visit a Sri Lankan traditional Batik Factory where you will be shown the stunning craftsmanship and meticulous work that goes into designing of Batik based items. Gemological Museums are a great place to learn about the stunning variety of precious stones found in Sri Lanka. On-route, observe a fascinating collection of precious stones to have a quick glimpse into the process of Gem Mining in Sri Lanka. In the evening enjoy an entertaining Sri Lankan Cultural Dance.

Day 6 - Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

After a hearty breakfast, head on to the city in the Hills, Nuwara Eliya. Hill country flourishes with acres and acres of tea plantations. Stop by a Tea Factory and a beautiful Tea field. Here you can take a walk by a vegetable field too! You will also be able to see some breathtaking view points and waterfalls on this trip. En-route visit the famous Art and Crafts center and get valuable insights into the fine handmade wood-based art and crafts which are beautifully decorated with natural ink.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya / Ella

Enjoy breathtaking views on the way to Ella from Nuwara Eliya. On the way, visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden. It is the second largest botanical garden in Sri Lanka situated on the Nuwara Eliya-Badulla main road, 16 km from Nuwara Eliya. The garden has a cool temperate climate because of its altitude at 5,400 feet above the sea level. The mean annual temperature ranges between 16 °C to 30 °C during course of a year. From December to February it has a cold climate, while the warm climate persists from April to August. Stop by scenic viewpoints on the way.

Day 8 - Ella / Udawalawe

Day 9 - Udawalawe / Hikkaduwa

After a delicious breakfast, go for a safari at Udawalawe National Park. Udawalawe is an important habitat for water birds and Sri Lankan elephants. Udawalawe is an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants, which are relatively hard to see in its open habitats. Many elephants are attracted to the park because of the Udawalawe reservoir, with a herd of about 250 believed to be permanently resident. Then look forward to a leisure time at the Hikkaduwa Beach.

Day 9 - Thangalle / Galle / Airport

After a hearty breakfast, head to Galle Fort in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. Later proceed to Airport.
